OLIVE OIL

Olive Oil Production
We proudly operate an Olive Grove located in Central Italy, in the Sabine Hills (Poggio Nativo).
The production of olives and oil is a millennial tradition in Sabine.

Our grove consists of 110 fruit producing olive trees, which are harvested annually in November and processed into a range of olive oils.

The Sustainability of Olive Farming

Olive trees thrive with considerably less water than other produce, and the relatively high polyphenol levels in the fruit and leaves make olives unpalatable to most insects, thus eliminating the need for pesticides.
How It's Made...

Stage 1
THE HARVEST

Once ready the olives are harvested by hand using portable electric rakes.

The falling olives land in nets laid under the tree and are collected and put into containers for storage before heading to the mill.

We store our olives in a cold storage unit before they head to the mill to ensure maximum freshness.
Stage 2
MILLING

The Olives (in batches of approximately 300kg) are driven in an air conditioned vehicle from our grove in Poggio Nativo to the mill in Scandriglia, which is about 20 minutes away.

Once at the Mill, the Olives are washed, crushed, refined and filtered several times, before finally the refined oil is centrifuged and poured. We use a Cold Press extraction method to ensure the very best quality oil possible.
Stage 3
BOTTLING & EXPORTING

The finished Olive Oil is bottled at the Mill in Scandriglia.

The bottles of oil are then taken to one of our facilities in Scandriglia for Labelling and Packaging.

The packaged oil is then prepared to be exported to the UK & Jersey, Channel Islands, where it is then sold on directly to customers and other businesses.
